When I arrived in Boston in the early nineties, landing at a dreary shadow of Logan Airport today, I tried to direct my cab to the Tufts University campus just a few miles away.  No Google Maps.  Just two lost souls wandering the winding streets of Boston in search of a shared destination.

This site is a living, curated guide for anyone trying to navigate a life in data.  Our contributors are ferociously curious individuals who share a passion for giving good direction…and have spent plenty of time walking the streets.

This site should be fun and open.  A mental oasis spanning Data, Publishing, Education, Art, Literature and Technology.  Return often.  Learn something new.  And keep many huddled conversations brewing in the Slack channels this site feeds.

This site is also an experiment.  Please reach out with ideas, questions or contributions.
